DAILY SCHEDULE

Your Daily Schedule At SJL

The school day begins at 7:45 with prayer, pledge and morning announcements.  At St. James the Less Catholic School students attend academic subjects- Religion, Language Arts, Math,  Science, Social Studies and a variety of specials such as Physical Education, Health Education, Music, Library, and Art.  

Students in the upper school have four academic classes, then lunch and three more academic classes. An extra focus has been placed on Language Arts and Math with the students having double periods of those subjects twice a week. 

In the intermediate school, grade three has Language Arts from 8:00- 9:45, followed by math and then the other academic subjects . Grade four has math and other academic subjects in the morning with the Language Arts block scheduled for 12:30 to 2:15 each afternoon.  

The lower school students Reading/Language Arts/Math block spans most of the morning.  Other subjects are integrated into the reading block as well as afternoon studies.
